“Coffee or scotch?”, he offered.
This was our kind of place.
As soon as we entered Enzo Custom’s Philadelphia showroom on Walnut Street, we knew we were in very good hands. We were met by the Showroom manager, who was quick to offer us a seat and a beverage. With coffees in hand, we sat down and began discussing what we had in mind for our custom pieces today. Hunter was in search of a bold suit in a non-traditional color – a deep burgundy with a double breasted peak lapel jacket. For myself, I was set on something a bit more traditional – a light gray suit with a single breasted notch lapel, something that would serve me well in my personal life for everything from dinners and other formal events to business occasions.
For the fabrics, we selected the Enzo Sartori Super 180s fabric for our full suits and a range of fabrics from the Enzo Sartori Super 120s – 150s for our jackets and trousers. When designing our garments, it was clear that Enzo Custom’s suiting experience would allow us the most control we had ever had in the design process, offering a range of design details that you simply don’t see from other companies in the custom suiting space. From the extended double hook waistbands to having the ability to select the finish of the side tab hardware, the design features available to us were a delight to navigate.
After an initial meeting where we had 31 measurements taken and selected every design detail our garments with the expert guidance of the Enzo Custom team on-hand, we waited in anticipation for 3 weeks before returning to try on our custom pieces. At this second fitting, we were both blown away – the pieces we received were incredible. For the first time in our custom suiting journey, we were able to see how the attention to detail in features like having control over the placement of the top buttonhole on the jacket and the tapered-yet-unconstricting drape in the back of a jacket can completely change the look of a suit. This was a custom suiting experience superior to any we’d had before.
After the second fitting, where we made slight adjustments to our garments (removing the minimal shoulder padding in one jacket and tapering the leg of one of the trousers), the suits fit better than we could have ever envisioned. For a look at the garments we designed, take a look at the photos below. A big thank you to the team over at the Enzo Custom Philadelphia Showroom. We can’t wait to design with you again.
