THE ULTIMATE COLORADO ROAD TRIP | BMW

What car do you currently drive daily? Answer that question and hopefully, by the end of this article, you will consider a BMW for your next car. We had the pleasure of being able to test out the 2020 BMW 228i during our recent trip to Vail, Colorado. Our journey started at the Denver Airport and concluded in Vail after a steep uphill drive. We immediately noticed that the 228i held many similarities to the Audi A3 and the Mercedes Benz CLA. The car comes equipped with 3 different driving modes, comfort, sport, and eco. Comfort mode was excellent for gas mileage, with one full tank covering over 450+ miles. To witness this car’s full potential, kick it into sport mode and feel the power of this daily drive’s 250+ Horsepower engine; it was no surprise that this car had no issue maneuvering up the steep Colorado hills. Eco mode allows you to cut down on fuel consumption by 20%, making long drives guilt-free.

The pictures above were all captured by our team during our drive to Blue Lakes. This location was an hour drive east from our hotel in Vail. The majority of the trip was highway but it slowly took us onto a dirt road, which eventually led us to the incredible views of the lake. This car had no problem going off-road. One helpful tip if you ever visit Vail – rent a car. We want to say thank you to the team over at BMW for making this ultimate driving experience possible. Without a car in Vail getting from point A to point B would be very difficult. Let us know in the comments below what your favorite BMW model is. We might just end up testing it out.
